Expanding File Folders

Pressboard folders are excellent for any kind of use or application in which you need to either store a large amount of notes and paperwork, or when you need access the file on a regular basis.  This is because pressboard folders are made out of relatively thick, heavy and strong card, which ensures that they last a lot longer under trying conditions than regular folders.

Pressboard folders are generally available in the expanding file folder style, which means that you can potentially keep a large amount of papers in them.  They are often available also with tabs and dividers, so that you can keep whatever papers you store in them organized and easy to find.

When buying a pressboard folder, the first thing you should check is the size.  Don’t assume that the size of the folder you’re buying is what you need.  Pressboards often come in legal size as a default, so if you’re looking for the more commonly used letter or A4 sizes, make sure you double check before buying, otherwise you could end up with useless folders.  You should also check the available options such as tabs or dividers to make sure that what you’re buying will suit your needs.

Pressboard folders are available in a wide range of colors, so you can create a coding system for easy reference if you’d like to or need to.  Also keep an eye out for whether or not the ones you’re buying have fasteners on the inside, as these are often useful for making sure everything stays where it needs to be.

One final thing to be aware of when buying pressboards is that they are often made of recycled or post-consumer materials.  The amount can vary from 10% up to 100%, so if this is important to you one way or the other, be sure to check the recycled percentage before buying.
