So you’re looking for new file folders or a way to keep everything in your home or office organized? Maybe you’ve already decided that expanding file folders are going to be the way to go. These particular folders are excellent for almost any situation, but especially for all your home papers.

This includes almost anything that relates to your home, furniture, electrics, finances and so on. For example, your expanding file folder could contain details of the following items:

- Home. This would mean copies of the title to your property, any approval notice for buildings, and anything else connected to your house.

- Furniture and Electrics. This would generally be for contact details, receipts/invoices, and warranty papers.

- Finances. This is a big one but would include things like your mortgage papers and details, any other loan papers you have, credit card and bank information and statements, investments, share holdings and so on. In fact in many cases it might be best just to have a whole file folder that’s devoted solely to your financial papers.

- Car and Vehicle Papers. This could include licensing and ownership papers, and details of all services and repairs done

- Bills. Everyone’s favorite, bills are actually important to keep for quite a long time in case there is a dispute regarding payment. You can sort them into separate sections for each kind of bill, such as power, phone, cellular, and so on.

This is just a small example of how you can use expanding file folders, or in fact any kind of folders, to help you get organized and stay organized. You’ll be amazed at how much time and trouble you can save by making sure everything you might one day need is kept safe and, more importantly, easy to find.

Recycled file folders are rapidly becoming one of the most common and popular types of file folders being sold online. This is mainly because of an increasing desire amongst people to try and reduce their environmental impact by buying paper products which are made of recycled materials.

Recycled file folders are available in almost all major file folder types. This includes, of course, expanding file folders and similar things, but also standard manila style file folders, presentation folders, two pocket folders, pressboard folders and more. Generally speaking these days, recycled card and paper products don’t necessarily look any different to standard ones, so you don’t need to be concerned about the folders not looking very good. They can usually be bought in a full range of colors and sizes and well so you’re not losing any flexibility by using recycled file folders.

Likewise most major manufacturers of file folders today have a complete sales line of recycled file folders. The leaders in this field are Smead and Pendaflex, both of which have their own complete product lines which are made entirely of recycled products. Other manufacturers also offer similar product lines and you shouldn’t have any problems finding any kind of recycled file folder you want.

Another good point is that the recycled file folders don’t tend to cost any more than regular ones. Of course this may not be the case in some specific instances, but that can always be said about almost any product comparisons. Generally speaking, if you shop around you won’t notice any big differences between recycled file folders and regular products, meaning there is really no reason not to go with the more environmentally friendly product.

Smead is one of the best known file folder manufacturers, along with Pendaflex, and they make a complete range of file folders and stationery equipment for storing and sorting files and papers.

Their motto is Get Organized Today and their range of products is geared towards exactly that. Smead is probably best known for its standard file folders and tabbed folders, which they make in all kinds of shapes and styles, including for fasteners and folders, to fit filing cabinets, and much more.

Like Pendaflex, Smead also makes hanging file folders in a range of different styles. This includes, for example, hanging folders in multiple colors and with built in tabs, making organizing things relatively easy, and their Tuff range, which are considerably stronger than normal hanging file folders and are supposed to be resistant to wear and tear. This can be very important if you use your hanging files regularly, as constant access and contact can wear them down.

If you’re looking for file folders, Smead makes almost every kind imaginable, with tabs, strips, different pockets, opening methods and hundreds of other different choices available. They also make a lot of filing accessories, such as add-on tabs, compressors, dividers and more.

Smead is also an environmentally aware company and they make much of their range from recycled products, so you can feel comfortable about the impact of using them on the environment. Overall Smead has an excellent reputation for quality and reliability, so you should feel very happy about choosing Smead for your file folder and other organizational solutions.

Folders with tabs are ideal for both hanging file cabinets and open style filing cabinets. There are two main kinds available – end tab filing folders and top tab file folders.

End tab filing folders have a tab on the shorter end of the filing folder, which makes them ideal for storage in cabinet shelves and other arrangements where there is no access from the top. Because there is no need for top side access, end tab file folders are excellent for storing large amounts of files, because you can literally have an entire wall with shelves full of files, and you can easily find the ones that you need. The length of the tab itself varies but usually it runs for most of the length of the folder, which allow maximum space for labeling.

Top tab filing folders, on the other hand, have their tab along the longer, open side of the filing folder. This is good for filing cabinets with drawers and hanging filing cabinets, so that when you open the drawer you can easily see and search through the tabs. Again the length of the tabs varies but they are usually quite long to allow for whatever labeling system you require.

No matter what kind of tab file folders you decide are best for you, you will need to make sure you have a good labeling system in place in order to use them efficiently. One of the most common is the use of colored letter stickers, where each letter is a different color. Depending on how many files you have, you place anywhere between two to four stickers on each file to indicate the beginning of the file name. They are then stored in alphabetical order, and this system makes it very easy to find whatever file you’re looking for.

There are several brand name manufacturers of tab file folders. Probably the best known is Smead, which produces a big variety of folders in many different sizes and weights. You can buy both Smead and other brand name folders at most major online retailers and virtually any office supply store offline.

There’s no better way to make a strong impression with potential clients, at a conference or even with your employees than by using printer pocket folders. File folders are used by almost everyone in the workplace, so you can be certain that it’s something that people will use, and if you do it right they can make a truly lasting impression.

The first thing is to make sure you get a high quality print job and a good quality folder underneath. There’s nothing worse than looking like you’re trying to make a good impression but doing it poorly – you end up looking worse than if you’d just used simply plain folders in the first place. For good quality folders and full color printing, you’re probably going to pay at least $5 per folder for a minimum order of 100 folders. If you need more, of course, the price will go down, but not by a huge amount. It’s possible to get good quality printed folders for less than this, but be sure to double check the quality first and get references if you can.

You also need to consider what kind of folder you want. Two pocket folders, for example, are excellent for this kind of general purpose branding effort, as they are used by everyone and are almost certain to be useful. They are also relatively cheap and easy to transport. You could also get something a little more fancy, like fully closing folders or expanding file folders, but they will cost you more. In addition, don’t forget to consider the size of the folders – legal, A4 or letter are the most common, so try to think about which is most likely to suit your intended purpose or audience.

There are a lot of additional factors also, such as whether you want single or double sided printing, matte or glossy, and more. Also remember that some printers will charge you extra for shipping, or for expedited shipping, so be sure to include this when you’re calculating and comparing prices.

Legal file folders come in many different shapes, sizes and prices, and depending on what you need them for, you might need to get several different kinds.

The most common kind of legal file folder is the plain, pale yellow manila folder. These folders are about as simple as they come, with a cover and a back and nothing else. Some folders may have a small pocket on one side of the inside in which you can put your papers and documents so that they don’t fall out, but most don’t even have this. One thing to look out for is tabs – some manila folders have tabs on the open side so you can write some kind of reference and store them tab-side up for easy searching. If you think you might want to do something like this, then make sure you get the tabbed version.

Another common kind of legal file is the two pocket folder, which is similar to the manila folder but has pockets on both sides of the inside, allowing you to store documents in both pockets. Some two pocket folders also have features such as a business card holder on one inside pocket, and fasteners to hold documents in place.

Legal file folders also come as fully closing folders, which are folders that you can put your documents into and then completely close the folder, similar to an envelope. Some of these come with fasteners and even locks, while others just sit closed.

While there are many other styles of legal file folders, these are the main ones. Within these, there are of course many variations, such as the kind of material the folders are made from. This can be simple paper or thin card, which is the most common, through to thicker, tougher card, highly durable plastics such as poly, and even leather and metal. The right material for you will depend on how much you plan to use the folders, and what exactly you want to use them for, as well as your budget, as obviously the thin card folders are generally the cheapest. Be sure to consider your needs before investing in legal file folders and you’ll be more likely to be happy with what you purchase.

Pressboard folders are excellent for any kind of use or application in which you need to either store a large amount of notes and paperwork, or when you need access the file on a regular basis. This is because pressboard folders are made out of relatively thick, heavy and strong card, which ensures that they last a lot longer under trying conditions than regular folders.

Pressboard folders are generally available in the expanding file folder style, which means that you can potentially keep a large amount of papers in them. They are often available also with tabs and dividers, so that you can keep whatever papers you store in them organized and easy to find.

When buying a pressboard folder, the first thing you should check is the size. Don’t assume that the size of the folder you’re buying is what you need. Pressboards often come in legal size as a default, so if you’re looking for the more commonly used letter or A4 sizes, make sure you double check before buying, otherwise you could end up with useless folders. You should also check the available options such as tabs or dividers to make sure that what you’re buying will suit your needs.

Pressboard folders are available in a wide range of colors, so you can create a coding system for easy reference if you’d like to or need to. Also keep an eye out for whether or not the ones you’re buying have fasteners on the inside, as these are often useful for making sure everything stays where it needs to be.

One final thing to be aware of when buying pressboards is that they are often made of recycled or post-consumer materials. The amount can vary from 10% up to 100%, so if this is important to you one way or the other, be sure to check the recycled percentage before buying.

Plastic file folders are an excellent addition to your home or office environment if you like to keep things neat and organized. Plastic files come in a range of different shapes and styles, and we’ll look at some of the common ones here.

First is the basic, single cover plastic file, which is basically a large plastic sheet folded in half, so that it can contain either A4 or letter sheets inside. Some may have one or two pockets inside as well to hold the papers securely, or they may have some kind of fasteners included as well. These are typically quite cheap folders and are easy to get hold of. They also come in many colors so that you can create color coding systems if you want to.

You can also get organizers or holders for your plastic files. These are large suitcase-type things which usually have a number of different compartments and close securely to make sure nothing can fall out. They are very useful if you find you’re getting to have a large number of plastic files and that their organization is getting a little out of control. You should be able to find a good one for around $15 to $20, so they are not very expensive but it’s definitely something you might find useful.

Plastic file folders also come in the expanding style, where they have a solid, fixed-width base and a number of pockets which can expand outwards in an accordion shape, according to the contents of the pockets. These are usually sorted either alphabetically or by month and year, and are excellent for storing documents and other items which you may need to be able to find or reference easily at a later date.

Finally, you can also get plastic file folders which hold transparent pockets or filing sheets, which can be very useful if you don’t know exactly how many document you might need, or you want to be able to add capacity over time. If you think you’ll end up with a lot of documents but don’t want to buy a huge folder up front, this is the solution for you.

Whatever direction you go in, plastic folders are a good choice as they last a very long time, are easy to work with and hard to damage. Invest in some today and see your organizational skills take off!
